you don’t know where to begin but you do so anyway, you grab my wrist and i follow you blindly, we walk through the ocean and onto an island and into the woods and think about the precious part between two hearts and dive our fingers right into them and pull out the seeds we buried, plant them elsewhere, and watch them grow
when holding onto the railing it is hard to jump so we just let it go and we find it is easier to jump when our hands aren’t heavy
a tree told me to kiss myself and i said i can’t do that and the tree lowered its branches to me and exhaled an “i know but you can try” and i tried and i could kiss my hand and wrist but a polite touch is nothing like a real kiss but the tree holds you anyway and the tree holds you anyway the tree holds us anyway
